The Rainforest by Jonah and Liberty

The Rainforest layers

There are four layers of a rainforest. The first layer is the forest floor. It is wet and dark. The second layer is the understory. There is a little bit of light. The third layer is the canopy. The trees there are 60 to 150 feet tall and there are more species of animal at the top of the bright canopy than other layers. The last layer is the emergent layer. The trees are 250 feet above the forest floor.  The trees grow off the canopy trees and the trees look like a giant umbrella.
These are the levels of a rainforest. :)

The Howler monkey is louder than a tapir.
The Taco toucan has a longer beak than the Cock-of-the-rock.
The canopy has the greatest number of animals.
The Harpy eagle is the fastest bird in the rainforest
