Math Measuring Problem

The students were given a problem in math today that involved measuring.  They learned that a Goliath Bird Eating Spider is 10 inches long.  Using this information, they then had to figure out about how many of these spiders would cover the length of their desk, the width of the Smart board and the length of our classroom.  They were pretty successful in solving these problems.
